Hydraulic rams and cylinders usually have surfaces which used hard chrome plating processes, to aid in corrosion prevention, aid lubrication and provide a tough, wear-resistant barrier against harsh environments.  And at the other end of the spectrum, it can be seen lending its aesthetically pleasing Mirror Polished Finish to high-end kitchen range griddle plates seen in the top UK culinary establishments.  Neville Roe Industries’ Hard Chromium Plating facility is the largest in the area.

Segmental Surface Grinding is often the only way to ensure that flatness and thickness tolerances are met on castings, profiles and fabrications, and Linear Surface Grinding takes care of the tighter tolerances.  NRIL have some of the UK’s largest Surface Grinding capacity available.

Cylindrical Grinding and Polishing on shafts, bearing diameters, wearing surfaces etc. can extend the life of components as well as achieve concentricity and tolerance.  Our capacity in this area is formidable.  Diameters up to 1000mm and lengths up to 6000mm can be handled.
